There's an online publication called fyimusicnews.ca that has become the go-to publication for the Canadian music industry. As far as I can tell, everyone in the industry reads it, every day. That's quite an accomplishment given the pathetic state of journalism today.
Whiskey Jack's press releases are sent to the editor, David Farrell on a fairly regular basis. Sometimes, he reports our news and we're grateful. Recently, he did just that:
"The fourth annual Stompin’ Tom tribute concert at Toronto’s Cadillac Lounge on Sunday was reportedly a major success. Hosted by ace roots combo Whiskey Jack, it featured appearances by Douglas Cameron and author David McFarlane, while Tom’s widow Lena guested on a song. VIP's in attendance included Ontario's Lieutenant-General, and the audience got a huge thrill out of seeing Gordon Lightfoot walk in to catch the show."
