A whiskey jack is also known as a gray jay, Canada’s most widely loved and acknowledged bird, particularly in our northern boreal forests. Some would call it Canada’s bird! In fact, our next event features a band with the same name and they will sing one of their most popular songs, "If Stompin' Tom Was Our National Bird".
Duncan Fremlin and Douglas John Cameron, also known as “Whiskey Jack” have been playing across Canada for coming on 50 years, with many of those years supporting Canada's own Stompin’ Tom Connors, one of Canada’s leading musical lights. Bring your best singalong voice and join us for an evening of stories and song celebrating Stompin' Tom’s Canadian anthems as we step into the Canada Day 2025 weekend!
