Donna and LeRoy are Canadian country music legends. They’re legends because for 17 years, millions of Canadians tuned in every Friday night to watch them on the CBC’s Tommy Hunter Show. In the 1980's, Whiskey Jack joined that show and entertained those same fans with their weekly comedy segment, the Ol' Back Porch. In 2025 these two Canadian country music greats come together to celebrate those years.
Early in July, 2024, this Alberta power duo, Donna and Leroy, were in Ontario performing in Donna’s hometown, Sault Ste.Marie. They took time to drop in and visit Whiskey Jack. Reminiscing, laughter and singing broke out, and it was good. Next up for them was a drive to the London home of our old friend, an elderly but spry Tommy Hunter. Following that visit, this tour was born.

After 26 years in Nashville, Donna and LeRoy returned to Canada and Whiskey Jack just got off the road from their 10 year Stompin’ Tom show tour. Everyone is on board and they're rarin’ to go.
What will the set-list look like? Songs from Tommy, Gordy Tapp, Dolly Parton, Ian Tyson, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Roy Rogers, Stompin' Tom, Glen Campbell and many of the other guests who appeared with them on that show. The “Ol' Back Porch” will also be well represented with skits from Grampa Jones, Cousin Clem and more.
