After recently spending some very fun quality time visiting with the special guests featured on our Wingham Legends Show, Banjodunc Productions has produced a few videos to highlight some of their stories. The Playlist can be found here.
Marie Bottrell talks about the loneliness that accompanied her many years on the road. She was a pioneer in the industry, the youngest woman to lead, manage and tour extensively with a 5 piece band. "Trying to get payment from the bar owners as the worst".
Brian and Susie Good have their own wonderful stories. Brian's golf game with Tommy Hunter (a "commanding" figure) and Gordon Lightfoot (a "demanding" task master) was a highlight. Susie's pedigree learning the business from her dad, Max Yetman, leader of Canada's first bluegrass band, The York County Boys was another.
Next up, Billie MacInnis as Stompin' Tom's fiddler (from PEI no less), Tim Hadley (Stompin' Tom's bass player) and Douglas John Cameron (a purveyor of songs by all of the legends, most notably Hank Snow).
